Thank you very much for visiting our website. The protection of your personal data is a high priority for us. Using our websites requires the provision of personal data. Only strictly necessary data is collected, used solely for the specified purpose, and deleted once the purpose has been fulfilled. If there is no legal basis for such processing, we generally obtain your consent. The processing of a data subject’s personal data always complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) and the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK).
Article 20 of the Constitution, in accordance with the right to “privacy and protection of private life,” states, “Everyone has the right to demand the protection of personal data concerning them. This right includes being informed about personal data concerning them, accessing these data, requesting their correction or deletion, and learning whether they are being used in accordance with their intended purposes. Personal data may only be processed in cases prescribed by law or with the individual’s explicit consent. The principles and procedures regarding the protection of personal data shall be regulated by law.”

Our websites use cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on a computer system via a web browser. A cookie consists of a string of characters that web pages and servers can assign to a specific web browser, allowing them to be recognized and identified.
The International Centre for STEM Education (ICSE) uses so-called session cookies. These cookies serve to make the internet offering more user-friendly, efficient, and secure (for example, after logging in during a session, you do not have to log in again on each page). These purposes are also our legitimate interest in data processing pursuant to Article 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Session cookies are deleted when you end the session. Some of our pages set so-called persistent cookies in internal login areas. These cookies are necessary to recognize the user after successful login and ensure the page appears consistent for the user in subsequent sessions on the same website. Persistent cookies are stored for 14 days and then deleted. The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
You can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time by using a corresponding setting of the web browser used, and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Furthermore, already set cookies can be deleted at any time via a web browser or other software programs. This is possible with all popular web browsers. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our websites.
